About Ikaika

You're not broken. You haven't been built.

Six surgeries. Multiple comebacks. Ikaika exists because standard rehabilitation failed first — and the clinic that was needed did not exist.

Meet Mana

The athlete behind the method

His passion for injury rehabilitation was ignited at fifteen, when a severe knee injury was mismanaged for five years. He had his first joint surgery at twenty. Doctors told him he would not perform in sport the same way again, that he would have arthritis, and that his knees would never be the same.

Fast forward — six surgeries later, he is doing everything he wants to do, pain-free.

Over the past eight years he has worked with an enormous range of people: from elderly patients needing falls prevention programs, to professional surfers and soccer players. He earned his BSc in Exercise Science at Colorado Mesa University in 2013 and his Doctor of Physiotherapy at Bond University in 2021, and is a certified epigenetics health coach endorsed by ph360.

“I had six surgeries, multiple dislocations, and doctors telling me my athletic career was over. Instead of accepting that narrative, I rebuilt myself stronger — and that's exactly what I do for every athlete who walks through our door.”

The Ikaika approach

One plan. Built around you.

Your starting point might be pain, an injury, a training limit, or simply not knowing where to begin. Assessment, treatment and training connect around your goals.

  1. Assess

Understand your starting point and what matters to you.

  2. Treat

Make sense of the findings and discuss your next steps.

  3. Train

Connect your rehabilitation with movement and strength.

  4. Perform

Work toward the activities and training that matter to you.

Your plan is individual. These stages connect and can be revisited as your needs change.
